Homecoming Cafe & Country Store is nestled in South Sauty Creek, a small fishing community offset the TN River just outside of Guntersville. Chef and Owner Jessica Hanners not only grew up in South Sauty but she also grew up in the exact building her business is in. Her parents ran their restaurant their for 15 years, South Sauty Cafe. She moved home (HOMECOMING) in 2018 after living a bustling single mom & chef life in Atlanta for just shy of 10 years. She came home with the vision of reopening the Cafe and reviving the heart of her community.
Her mission: Serving her community and those that visit locally sourced, sustainable, and seasonal food. All homemade from scratch and prepared with integrity you won’t generally find at a gas station/convenience store “in the middle of nowhere”. Grassfed beef Cheeseburgers with Handcut Fries, buttermilk biscuits made fresh every morning, Classic Sausage gravy, Hand breaded Chicken tenders and onion rings, local BBQ Pork smoked in the shed out back, and the list goes on!
